Welcome to Blue Cross Pet Hospital located in North Hollywood and serving dog and cat owners from the neighborhoods of Burbank, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Toluca Lake, Universal City and surrounding areas. Our veterinary clinic has been caring for patients since 1949 and has a comprehensive list of services available to pets and their owners. In 1988, veterinarians Dr. Peter Lowenthal and Dr. James Walters bought the veterinary clinic and added Dr. Nahmi Jones to the clinic shortly after. Our North Hollywood pet hospital provides a range of services from routine check-ups, to emergency care, to specialized services and same day appointments. Our animal hospital is a full service veterinary clinic and is open seven days a week, evenings and weekends. Pets and their owners living in and around North Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, Universal City, Burbank, Toluca Lake, and Studio City are welcome to call in for an appointment or stop in to take advantage of the extensive services offered at the veterinary hospital. The mission of the pet hospital is to provide high quality, compassionate veterinary care for patients and a supportive and informative environment for clients.
Veterinary Services: From Air-Conditioned Boarding to Vaccinations to Emergency Care
At our animal hospital, the veterinarians and their team members strive to provide the best and most comprehensive services to care for patients and clients. The North Hollywood vet offers appointments for routine exams, vaccinations, flea and tick control, and grooming. Other services available at the pet hospital are microchip identification to help return a lost pet home, spay and neuter procedures, examinations and diagnoses for skin problems and allergies, parasite control, prescription diets and everyday pet supplies. The veterinary clinic is open seven days a week, evenings, and weekends to accommodate the busy lifestyles of clients living in North Hollywood, Universal City, Sherman Oaks, and Studio City.
In addition to standard medical, dental and surgical services, the animal hospital provides more specialized services such as cardiology, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedic surgery, and reproduction. The three veterinarians and their support team are able to provide chemotherapy, ultra safe anesthesia, ultrasounds, geriatric medicine, digital radiology, endoscopies, blood transfusions, gastroenterology, ear disease care, treatment for poisonings, and trauma care. The veterinarians and veterinary clinic staff are sympathetic to animals who are suffering and offer individualized pain management plans and compassionate euthanasia. The animal hospital does in house lab blood tests which help to speed up the diagnosis and start of treatment. In the event of an unexpected vet trip or the need for a specialized procedure, financing is available to clients from Wells Fargo Health Advantage or Care Credit.
